Twenty-five years in the seat, not just advising from outside.
Compound Leadership Group is built around one belief: the best advice comes from people who have actually done the job, not just studied it. I'm Camila Lobo-Guerrero, and this is why I started Compound.
Why experience beats theory
Most consultants sell frameworks. I sell twenty-five years of having actually done the job, across commercial, operational and people functions, in global corporates and entrepreneurial businesses alike.
I've built a European eCommerce function from nothing to $28m in revenue. Scaled a fulfilment business by 63% in eighteen months, more than doubling order throughput along the way. Delivered double-digit growth across FMCG portfolios. Designed leadership capability programmes used by some of the world's largest consumer companies.
I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and have worked closely across the UK, Europe and Latin America, so I understand the particularities of each market, not just the language.
None of that came from a slide deck. It came from owning the P&L, sitting in board meetings, and living with the consequences of my own decisions.
How I lead
I believe sustainable performance comes from aligning people, processes and purpose, not from chasing short-term results alone. Commercial rigour and a genuine people-first mindset aren't in tension. They build on each other.
In practice, that means building teams that are both high-performing and accountable, creating real clarity in roles and decision-making, and developing the next generation of leaders through structured capability, not just training slides. It means driving performance while keeping a culture people actually want to work in.
One founder. A network built for the job.
Compound is led by me, and every engagement starts and ends with me. But no single person carries every kind of expertise a growing business needs.
When a project calls for a specific skill, whether that's a particular sector, a technical specialism, or simply more hands, I bring in trusted, experienced operators from my network rather than pretend to be an expert in everything myself.
It's the same belief that shapes our methodology: the whole system matters more than any one specialist. You get one person accountable for the outcome, backed by the right people for the job.
The shape of an engagement depends on what the business needs. That might be a fractional commitment of a few days a week, a full-time interim placement to cover a critical gap, a focused transformation project, or board-level advisory input. The right model follows the problem, not the other way around.
